A few months ago, we pointed out 18 Sci-Fi Twitter Feeds You Should Be Following, which included a lot of well-known Tweeters that you've probably read about elsewhere.
Since then, the number of sci-fi luminaries on Twitter has grown tremendously, so we've put together a new list of interesting people you should be following, including both newcomers and some overlooked gems:

I have been totally anti-twitter, but decided to sign-up for an account a few days ago. Within two hours I had offers to send me nude pics for a bunch of unknowns...I deleted the acct ...

Wow I have been on Twitter for awhile now and have never seen anything like that. At a certain level I feel left out.:(
So I’m already following a whole bunch from those LOL... I highly recommend Cory Doctorow cause he’s always posting interesting articles about civil liberties, gov’t invasion of privacy, etc - most Freepers, sci-fi fans or no, would probably find lots of the links he posts interesting (and often alarming).
Felicia Day and Neil Gaiman have pretty fun and interesting feeds, and if you’re a comic/superhero nerd you’re really missing out if you’re not following Marvel and DC.
But WHY is Lou Diamond Philips on the list? So far the first (and only) time I’ve heard of him it was cause my roommate was watching some reality show, any reminder of which makes me want to hide under my bed and curl up and cry... =’(
Do me a favor...Create a new account. I ‘followed,’ JackCaferty, at CNN is all I did. withn hours I had a list of girls offering nude pics. Maybe I am just lucky.
