This thread is overflowing with irony. I find it humorous that the two mac threads today started with attacks.

To Wooly’s credit, he at least posted a news article pointing out problems with an Apple made product, he of course then went rogue slandering Steve Jobs and his beliefs on how he got his liver transplant. Outside of that his post was useful and could have some decent discussion. I for one hope they correct that issue.

On the other hand, Blue Highway, your thread was nothing more than trolling. You have nothing to back up your claim that the batteries won’t be as useful as claimed other than you don’t like Apple. You were trolling plain and simple, got what you wanted and then started this thread hoping for more. You have only been successful in drawing out more people to be hateful toward Mac users. Congratulations I guess, you have been very successful today.

Out of curiosity what is it you were hoping for by starting either this thread or the previous one? That people would believe you that the batteries couldn’t last as long as advertised. That dropping a laptop off at the store while you did other shopping was a tremendous burden that far outweighs any of the benefits touted for the new batteries? Did you get mad when no one was willing to take your word about a product that has been out less than a month and start a new thread decrying that no one will believe you. I’m sorry, but your demeanor on Mac threads doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in what you post.

I have no idea if the batteries will last 5 years or 1000 charging cycles. I posted that thread as it is “new” technology plain and simple. I stated my opinion of my dislike of any company that chooses the route on non user serviceable parts. THIS is the route Apple is taking. I know we live in a disposable society these days, but I tend to steer towards more DIY type mentality companies rather than proprietary companies that have a program of planned obsolescence.
