You read my post about a bleak and not too distant future where you were a coward and didn’t help a fellow human being that was being lied to by a government official and I am cheap somehow? How are you turning this on me when you were replying to post 151 which had nothing to do with me?
Please demonstrate this "hatred" from Mac users, Blue Highway. Where is it even in this thread? Disputing your lies and refuting them is NOT hatred. That is what the Democrats call hatred. Show us where we have used ad hominem attacks rather than correcting errors or debating your claims.
You started the original thread with ad hominem attacks. You exaggerated, you told untruths, you spouted your opinion as gospel truth, despite facts that show you that your claims are wrong, your opinions baseless. That is not hate. I see the hate coming from YOU and a few others.
I know enough about anything that has an integrated battery source to know I’d prefer a removable power source. To suggest differently to me tells me you certainly do have an agenda and I despise people with agendas.
I just went back and looked at other Mac threads with you on them. I can now narrow down ONE of your problems [and you have many] to CHEAP.
I feel sorry for your loved ones.
Please post the ad hominem attacks I posted from Post #1. I am waiting...
Ok so calling me cheap is not an attack? Yet Swordmaker is accusing me of the ad hominen attacks. I never got personal and said Mac users are Gay! or anything of that sort. Heck Bunnyslippers you were dissing your own girlfriend and calling her cheap. I bet she would love to know what you really think of her. Just reading that post made me realize was a superficial jackass you sound like. “She drives a Honda,. but I drive a Porsche!” What a condescending POS. Typical Apple snark snobbery. I do despise jerks like you.
Apple's choice to embrace a newer technology than the one that requires extra weight, greater complexity in case design, and more weight, is hardly in the same category as this. You take your self far too seriously, Blue. This is a company, selling a set of products for which they have made some economic and engineering decisions embracing something that has not been done before in this industry. It is NOT a microcosm of the US's potential dire fate at the hands of Obama.
Next time you try this, use facts, not your made up strawman points, your exaggerations, and certainly leave out the ad hominem attacks against people with whom you disagree. Argue the facts, and they better be facts or expect to be shot down with every non-factual assertion; don't insult and assault your fellow freepers.
Still accusing ME of attacking Freepers but you have yet to address post 264. Thanks for looking the other way when it serves your best interest.
YOU?! Insult Windows users? Heavens forbid...
;^)>
Seriously, I really don't recall... I didn't keep the raw data.
Can you read? If you noticed, I claimed superior knowledge because I know about Macs... something you have no desire to be "enlightened" about.... which makes my knowledge in this debate superior to yours. I am experienced with both platforms. You are not. You are ignorant. That, unfortunately, is a fact. That's curable. What's apparently not curable is the stupid statement "If only I had a desire to want to be enlightened to the dark side." You CHOOSE to remain ignorant.
If you want to LEARN about Macs, we would be glad to help you.
I despise jerks like you too.
You get what you pay for. And your a simple tight-wad. That’s what drives your ignorant rants on this thread and others,
I make money, I spend it on quality items. The Mac is a better computer, it costs more. So what! I can afford it. I could buy a cheaper car but I can afford the sleeker, better performing car. So I buy it.
You really sound like a Liberal. All Liberals hate people who have money and spend it. You do not sound like a Conservative who knows that the ways of Capitalism.
Maybe you ought to check out DU sometime. Sounds like you hang out there.
What do you want me to say about it? Do I think you are cheap? I don't know. I haven't analyzed your comments with that in mind. However, as ad hominem attacks go, that's pretty mild. I think it is an observation that seems to have some basis for making it, not an attack. I do think you have some serious problems. One of them is the inability to recognize when you are insulting and offending people rather than discussing an inanimate object, topic, or subject.
The very beginning, the root of this thread, is you comparing your fellow Freepers who use and disagree with your position on Mac oriented threads, to the worst of our opponents.
THAT is an insult to everyone in a Mac thread. It was intentional. It is purposefully intended to be hurtful. That is YOUR vanity post... that is YOU making ad hominem attacks.
That is like saying you Mac users are similar to the leaders of Nazi Germany, or the politburo of the Soviet Union. Those are fighting words to conservatives. They are insults and were meant to be insults. They provide NOTHING probative about the merits or demerits of Mac or PC platforms.
Frankly we Mac users are SICK and TIRED of being the butt of the so-called jukes that PC users think is funny that they repetitively and snidely post in Mac threads with smiley faces as though a smiley face takes away the nasty intent.
Let's look at your comments, slurs and insults, along with those of some of the people you pulled out of the woodwork on this thread:
YOU: ". . . Apple users are naive. . ."YOU: Apple users "flock" and "claws come out" and it gets "ugly" because they have the temerity to disagree with your pronouncements.
"Don't be bothered with iDiots."
"Macbots are vicious."
"It's like a cult. . ."
Posting the same offensive picture for the umpty-umpth time: "Mac Users, Ten percent of the market share. Ninety percent of the crazy."
Mac users are "Worse than atheists, worse than ACORN, worse even than global warmists!"
"They are desperately trying to justify why they paid far too much"
Another picture, also for the nth time: "Gay-test IF you like the one on the left, I've got bad news for you..."
"My parents discouraged me from ever dating a Mac user."
YOU: ". . . they resemble Democrats remarkably, and their behavior typically resembles the nasty vulgarity youd see over on Democratic Underground."
"Mac users have a tendency to be democrats. The stereotype is sitting in a starbucks, unkempt, unbathed, with an open Macbook"
"I bet Hitler used a Mac. ;~)"
"Oh, Id never DATE one (Mac users). Their machines dont have cooties, but the majority of them have, er, viruses themselves..."
YOU: ". . . Apple cult users. . ."
"Mac owners belong to a cult and they defend their beliefs with a religious fervor. They sound more like DUers than Conservatives."
YOU: "And youre a Romney supporter. What a joke. Talk about RINO ALERT!!!! Why are you here?"
"Whats your reading comprehension level, 3rd grade? Second?"
"Church of Apple Macintosh? Hail Steve Jobs?"
YOU: ". . .the BS some of the Apple disciples spew forth."
"Mac owners lack a sense of humor." (That's like saying "Blacks and Jews don't have a sense of humor" when the so-called humor is the ethnic put-down humor from the majority toward the minority.)
YOU: "Swordmaker will post some lengthy reply to you . . . I wonder why the Apple sheep are so blind as to not see this?"
"That's why I'm not suckered into buying one. Only a fool . . ."
YOU: "The Apple cult will disagree . . ."
YOU: ". . . the Apple Elite can . . ."
YOU: ". . . iGenius dude making $7 per hour... that turtlenecked pro-Obama dweeb. . ."
I've provided a list of ad hominem attacks on just this thread. Now, you do the same... ad hominem attacks on PC users on this thread. I know you'll find some because I deliberately posted some. List them. Let's see the comparative nastiness.
That's what I did, clocked it up to 3.8 Ghtz, got 3 TB of WD storage, a couple of ATI 4890's in CrossfireX, 6 gigs of DDR3 @ 1600, BLUUU-RAAAAY, Coolermaster Cosmos with a window to see all my cool quality custom picked equipment inside, 25 inch Asus monitor, tuner, etc., all for 2500 bones. Your comments about the XEON are spot on. Nice to see an avid builder around here...I know there's more, but we usually just sit back and laugh. I've seen a certain Apple expert around here spec out i7 systems using DDR2 and power supplies twice as big as needed...LOL. The OS debate is as old as the hills, everybody should just use what they like. That Scout is a nice case, I also considered the Sniper. Take good care of your spanking AMD rig :)
You said — I dont own a Mac so I dont know if or what encryption is available.
—
And that’s where you need to get educated, to find out why Macs are picking up marketshare dramatically, and from your fellow Windows users. I’ve heard Apple give out this statistic, that at the Apple stores, over 50% of the buyers of the computers are from people who have never had a Macintosh before.
:-)
You said — As for Apple discontinuing floppy drives, to me that is like Apple giving the finger to the people who, at the time a floppy was part of their daily routine, and Apple is saying, “We are going to tell you a floppy is no longer relevant. Get used to it...” To me that is an arrogant mother f’ing company I never want to have any part of.
—
Well, actually, no..., it’s Apple seeing what how many consumers want the floppy and finding out that no one does, except for 1/2 of 1 percent. So, they see that there is no good reason for making 99.5 percent of the users pay for the other 1/2 of 1 percent who want it. Thus, Apple quit making everyone else pay for those few that did want it. I would say that was considerate of Apple to quit making us all pay for what only a few wanted.
And by the way, when Apple did that, I had not used a floppy on my Mac for the previous five years prior to that time.
FURTHERMORE, if one *did* want to use a floppy, there was nothing that prevented those very few Macintosh users from getting a floppy drive. You simply got one and plugged it in. No problem.... LOL...
You said — Hmmm, what company tends to void the warranty when you change a battery? Hmmmm, let me guess Apple, because no other company is stupid enough to pull that crap on their customers.
—
If you tear apart your TV, when it’s under warranty, you’ll void it, too... LOL...
You better be real good when tearing apart something that is put together that well and with that much precision, into those very small and compact spaces, if you intend to do that while it’s under warranty — and expect Apple to make up for your own mistakes... :-)
But, that’s all phoney-baloney talk, because I’ve simply never had an Apple product fail under warranty. And most people have never had an Apple product fail under warranty. There’s just never a reason or an occasion to tear into it. If you want to replace RAM, no problem. If you want to get another hard drive, no problem. But, if you want to tear the thing apart..., I would wonder why you want to do that... :-) ... as there’s no reason.
The botom-line is that there is no crap to pull because you won’t find anywhere never even half, or a large number or a majority, or a super-majority of the Macintosh users that ever have to have warranty work in that period of time.
But, if you’re inclined to tear apart your Macintosh and see how all the pieces fit together, there’s no one stopping you... LOL...
Well, everyone else sees you holding your head... LOL...
I’m still waiting for that list of ad hominem attacks from Mac users to PC users on this thread. Tell you what, you can also include the “battery” thread as well... the one you claim is like DU...
I think I’ve read enough of your attempts to present rational reasons for your irrational behavior and postings.
1) You have paranoid fantasies,
2) You have delusions of grandeur.
I’m guessing that you’re probably off your meds, and normally - when you’re properly medicated and more rational you don’t log into online forums and try to create conflict with complete strangers on a topic on which you are neither an expert on the subject matter, or on the needs and preferences of those you have chosen to argue with.
And when it comes down to it, I’d say that Apple’s success with their “non-user-replaceable” battery products has shown that a lot of people agree with Apple. That doesn’t mean that a lot of people disagree with you, because frankly they don’t know who you are, and they could care less about your opinion on removable batteries. Heck, you just disagree with them and most of us. Fine. We heard you the first time. Go away.
