Doctor tried to find working phone for 30 minutes while Michael Jackson was dying...

Michael Jackson's doctor scrambled for 30 minutes to find a working phone to call 911 as the superstar lay dying in his palatial Bel Air mansion, the doctor's lawyer revealed Monday.

The land lines in the rented mansion were all shut down for "privacy reasons," and Dr. Carlton Murray didn't use his cell phone to get help because he didn't know Jackson's address, the lawyer said.

Amazingly, Murray called for security, but no one answered. The doctor finally had to run downstairs to get a chef to summon help for the dying King of Pop.

"This entire time, with the exception of him running downstairs, he was performing CPR on Michael Jackson," Edward Chernoff, Murray's lawyer, told CNN.

...

Paramedics raced to the home and spent 42 minutes trying to resuscitate the 50-year-old superstar. They then took him to UCLA Medical Center, where doctors spent another hour in a futile effort to keep him alive.

Also, it has been stated several places that this doctor LIVED at Michael’s mansion and had for some time. Where did he get his mail? Couldn’t he look at his own mail and see the address....???

After listening to the 911 call, it was amazing to me that nobody mentioned that MJ was the victim in question, if for no other reason than to try and create a quicker response, him being a celeb and all.

I have puzzled over that. If he gave MJ Demerol he should of had narc am right there it would stop the injection cold. You can get a good AED for $1,500. Is the Doctor in the will?

911 Call Centers have the technology to triangulate on a cell phone.

Enhanced 911

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E911

Wireless Enhanced 911

A second phase of Enhanced 911 service is to allow a wireless or mobile telephone to be located geographically using some form of radiolocation from the cellular network, or by using a Global Positioning System receiver built into the phone itself.

Therefore the doctor is full of B.S.

I heard some audio on radio of the 911 call. There was a lot of hemming and hawing and hesitation in the voices, that’s for sure. Very, very strange.

From the article:

Both of the superstar's parents signed papers requesting that Katherine Jackson be put in charge of his money, claiming he died "intestate," without a will.

And, as for the mansion address, with all of MJ's prescriptions, didn't the Dr. have to give an address to a pharmacy to deliver the Rx's?

Oh boy, I'll bet Mark Fuhrman has interesting observations on this case....

You said — If he gave MJ Demerol...

Well, it might not say that here, but in another article I read about that doctor, he stated that he had, at no time, ever, given Michael Jackson Demerol...

I can’t say too much more about it other than that. So, I’m not sure where the idea came from that the doctor gave Demerol to Michael Jackson.

Well, he can’t be too full of B.S. since it didn’t work for me, on 9/11 in Dallas, Texas and I had to walk about a block to look at a street sign to give the info to the operator... LOL...

911 Call Centers have the technology to triangulate on a cell phone.

Assuming that the cell phone works in that location. We have good cell phone coverage in my area, but the building that I work in had thick concrete walls and cell phones generally don't work there. Except Nextel, which my company uses for their own service. We have repeaters that allow Nextel phones to work in our building. But not Verizon, AT&T, or any other carrier.

Point is, if cell phones are not working in that location, you can't call and they can't locate you.

I understand that most homes aren't built like our work location, but if it's already in a fringe area and has thick walls, cell phone coverage can be very poor.

That is, however, no excuse for not having a working land line in the home.

If you call 911 they can find you within something like 50 feet...

I had the opposite problem with the 911 service. I lived right where three towns converged and I was consantly arguing with the 911 dispatchers about where I was and that I really was reporting a fist fight I was watching in another town, or a kid in the lake in another town. It was frustrating. I remember yelling one time to just dispatch the d... car and then I would answer their questions.

those children have been with him since birth, so they are legally his children...

remarks such as yours makes me sad...God does not give us all our children by birth, some of us have to seek and search.

Without a GPS signal, E911 will only triangulate to an area of several blocks.

Believe me, I’ve listened to the police and fire try to find an injured person calling on a cell phone. It doesn’t work as well as you might think.

Both of the superstar's parents signed papers requesting that Katherine Jackson be put in charge of his money, claiming he died "intestate," without a will.

A reporter on Nancy Grace said that Michael hired his former long time attorney about five weeks ago to write a will. The lawyer said he would be presenting the will to the court immediately. I guess Jacko's parents didn't know what they were talking about (or else the reporter and attorney are lying)!
