First of all, to categorize all on the right as kooks because of what some do isn't fair. Most people on the right couldn't care less about this.
Second, there are kooks on the right, maybe just as many as on the left. They don't just “look like kooks”, they are kooks.
Third, just because a conspiracy theory sounds kooky to you, doesn't mean it isn't true. Unless you have convincing evidence that Obama was born in the US,(if you do please share it) you would do well to keep your suspicions to yourself no matter how kooky this sounds. You could be wrong.
What makes this Quixote cause so kooky is that it is based on a kooky premise, that is, that the constitution requires presidents to have been born within the US. The constitution doesn't say that.
I know of no one who disputes that Obama’s mother was a citizen of the US when he was born. That makes him a natural born citizen no matter where he was born. An no, the constitution doesn't require the mother to be of a certain age either. If she was a citizen when he was born, he was born a citizen of the US.
Absolutely no court in the nation would dispute that fact, so to waste time on this, when there are far better things to oppose the administration on, is to tilt at windmills at a time when there are real dragons to slay.
