I agree. As I said before it is very difficult for any soccer team to defeat Brazil, there is a reason why they are called the Kings of soccer. However we gave the Brazilians a very hard time and they worked very hard to win. Overall we did very well in this tournament, no one has expected us to be in the final but we did and we performed very well.
Well, the US did better than anyone could have expected. Let down in 2nd half, too conservative, but that’s ok.
For whatever reason *may I suggest money* soccer/futbol is not as big in the US as it is the rest of the world. Kids play till they’re about 8-10, then move on to US football. When/if there’s more $$$ in US soccer, it’ll become more popular. Just the way we are.
Yeah, I’m ok. At least we showed we can play with the best.
We lost, because the real Brazil showed up in the second half, there is no shame in losing. Now we just have to figure out how to stay at that level for a whole 90 minutes, we’ll get there.
Well, duh, wadda expect? All their best players are working in convenience stores or painting houses in the U.S.
I think the Brazilian coach realized that they came within one half of being the biggest shocker loss in soccer history since England lost 1-nil to the USA in the 1950 World Cup. As such, the Americans did amazingly well considering they got blown out by the same Brazilian team just over a week ago!
I agree. I am very proud of our USA soccer team.
