I had always thought Equestrian actually was the most dangerous in terms of # of serious injuries/fatalities. At least that’s what my Equestrian coaches told me. Maybe he was just trying to make sure I cleared the jumps properly, eh?

Oh yeah! It's a helluva lot more dangerous if the pyramid collapses when the horse is still on top, or someone forgets to catch him after a throw!

I always wondered about those guys who took ballet class, cheerleading and theater.

In retrospect, playing hockey and rowing crew were kind of a waste of time. I got to hang out with a bunch of sweaty guys and have some injuries that still act up every once in a while.

Meanwhile, my cousin was helping cheerleaders stretch, throwing and catching them and spending evenings and weekends with the theater girls. He was smarter than me, that's for sure. (though he did play rugby, too, so no one can question his masculinity, at least not in his presence).
