I understand your feelings. I don’t respect this President at all. He is the President of the media who put him into power in my opinion. He could never have been elected if he had received the same treatment as John McCain and Sarah Palin. The bias was so blatant that it was sickening. I never dreamed it could get much worse than Dan Rather and his forged documents but it did. I do not give the media all the credit John McCain could have fought and could have led but he didn’t. He rubber stamped a stimulus and listened to people who didn’t have his best interests at heart.

That said I am from a family of Country Democrats. My Dad is a union man and he even voted for Obama. However it was the values I learned from my parents and grandparents that made it impossible for me to ever consider such a thing. They taught me personal responsibility, the value of doing things yourself, the respect for our military, and the value of doing what was right regardless of what anyone else happened to think of it. They taught me not to steal, not to lie, and the value of commitment and hard work to support your family. I could never vote for the Democrat party and I will never do anything that will empower the party of cowards, liars, hedonists, and socialists(thieves).

I know some think that statements like that are not helpful but helpful or not they are true. It is a party that has lost its mind and soul while the Republican one for now has only lost its way. My 84 year old Grandmother told me she didn’t vote for Obama said crossing her ticket was the right thing to do. That made me feel better. She was and is as tough as nails. She had 9 kids so she had to be. She used to scare me to death as a child but one thing for certain she loves her country and would do the right thing even if someone had a gun to her head and I respect that more than I’ll ever accept the soft rot that those who have given up and will not fight would have us give in to.

As for whether it is Jesus that Sanford prays that I do not know. I suspect it is so. God has a way of revealing all. I know I’ve experienced it first hand.

Heard about this on talk radio out of Milwaukee this afternoon. It is news worthy that MJ died. However it is not worthy of more than 24 hours of mention in the news cycle.

For goodness sake, we have Iranian freedom protesters that have been murdered by the Iranian Gov’t Thugs.

MJ was an entertainer. I hope he has found peace now, as he was obviously very very troubled mentally. The way he mangled the face God gave him was all the evidence we needed to know MJ was very messed up inside.

It is a shame the passing of Farrah Fawcett was on the same day. I do hope she has found peace too. Cancer is a cruel way to die. I have seen it up close and personal. It is the most frightening death I have seen. Farrah was a delightful entertainer. I was a teenager when she became popular. I remember well “the poster” and watching Charlie’s Angels and her later dramatic roles like “The Burning Bed”. She was a good actress.

BTW I did not turn on the TV all night. Worked late, Freeped until bedtime. No need to see all the fawning over MJ. I couldn’t listen to any of his old music since those abuse trials years ago. The thought of him abusing kids totally made him repulsive. He lived a strange life. An early death is not that much of a surprise given his lifestyle.

Farrah is different. What a shame to die so young from a horrible disease. Rest in Peace Farrah. I still love your 70’s hair to this day.

And that’s the end of my thoughts on MJ being gone.

You know, I realized after watching the news, that it wasn’t so much MJ that bothered me, it was his fans. They just seemed so weird the way they showed their emotion for Michael, I remember during his trial how they would be outside the court. It was almost as if he was a Pied Piper for weirdos.

Yes I remember to the crazy nut jobs who flocked to the trial to get a look at MJ. Why? They knew why he was on trial, yet they showed no sign of caring in the least that he might have abused children. They adored him no matter what he might have done. Kind of like the Obama followers. They don’t know or don’t care about his past. Who can support a monster who voted against the Infants Born Alive Protection Act? A guy who stated publicly that if his girls became pregnant(with his grandchildren) they shouldn’t be burdened with those children? Nice grampa huh? He’s fine with killing his grandkids in the womb.

You are so right and put it so well, MJ was a pied piper for wierdos.

Maybe Obama is the same for the helpless Sheeple who want gov’t to take care of them.

“I was very young when Pres. Kennedy was assassinated, but to compare the two?”

No comparison!

The whole country — the world — was CRYING when Kennedy was assassinated !

Even many who didn’t agree with him were mourning.

And remember, in those days, it wasn’t considered “cool” for grown men to start crying.

The Kennedy assassination was a great trauma to the country and a shock to the world.
