Okay...if I'm off-base, then flame me. But DH and I are fuming this evening to come home from work to learn that Fox News spent the 6-7 PM NEWS hour with Shep Smith crying over Michael Jackson. UN-FRICKIN-BELIEVABLE! There is so much crap going on in this country, the world, the economy, 10% unemployment, Congress/Obama getting ready to shove cap-n-trade down our throats, he and the big-she having a laeuiu at the Whie House...what in the hell is going on! The whole damn world is in fire! I'm so ticked off to not hear the Bret Baer news hour....what a frickin joke on the part of Fox News! And they want to be taken seriously?! Geesh! Enough already!

I caught part of this. I found myself wondering whether Shep and MJ were, well, an item. It was as though he was in mourning for a lost lover.
Had to turn it off after the umpteenth shot of a street corner in LA with a hundred or so losers hanging out with nothing else to do.

If you expect Fox to be a serious conservative media outlet all the time, you’re bound to be disappointed. In the end Rupert Murdoch is interested in making money, and his winning formula, whether you’re talking about his newspapers or TV stations, has always been a combination of, yes, more-or-less conservative news and views, along with lots of tabloid entertainment, pop culture, and hot babes.

I can relate... I don’t expect better, but I sure would prefer more substantive news.
