PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. Police in suburban Philadelphia say a man weary of children playing in his cul-de-sac blared a pornographic soundtrack to chase them off.
Michael Buck faces a felony obscenity charge and two misdemeanors for the alleged May 31 stunt at his upscale Phoenixville home.
Irate neighbors told police they could hear the sexually explicit audio a block-and-a-half away.

Yeah, but the point was to keep them away so they wouldn’t hear it. While his strategy may be wanting, I can empathize with him.

No it doesn't. It's like the convenience store that broadcasts classical music in the parking lot. The point isn't to entertain kids, but to drive them away. The last thing the store owner wants is for kids to actually listen to it. Or, it's like using "The Mosquito" - the high pitched sound only kids can hear. Again, the purpose isn't for the kids to listen to it, but to make it so unbearable, they don't want to.

When I was in grade school in Philadelphia the "old" guy in the house right next to our school yard used to take balls that went over the fence into his yard and hatchet them in half!
Funny, all these years later I have sort of an empathetic warm spot in my heart for old "wolfman".

He should have played show tunes or polka music. They would have run away screaming.

Is there everything wrong with hearing sounds of a woman moaning while having sex on a subwoofer playing at 100+ decibels?
In my opinion, yes, unless you’re using it as a psychological weapon on kiddies.
