I would say this would be a major upset, but a little perspective is in order.
Most of the Spanish players have played a grueling club season, and frankly probably aren’t very motivated for this tournament. It’s not like there was any competition in their group up to this point. They didn’t take the US very seriously and thus, came up flat. This would not happen in the World Cup.
