it appears to be the opposite of that condition that causes people to age at an accelerated rate.

Some years ago there was a story about a boy, 10 years old, I believe, who was the functional equivalent of an 80 year old man.

In a local news report on the story (I don't recall where it was), the male anchor commented after the story, "Boy! At that rate, he must have been frustrated by the time he was 2 1/2!"

This was met by unrestrained guffaws in the studio.

True story!
