Not really. The calorie restricted diets used in life extension studies aren’t just like a few calories less than normal.
They’re like way, way, way less than normal.

Not just that, but people believe that if they don't gain weight, they can eat what they want. My brother is my polar opposite with weight. He eats more junk than should be permitted of a 20-something, but he doesn't gain weight. I don't touch the nasty stuff, eat healthy and well and exercise, and I can't shed the stuff fast enough. Def. speaks to the wonder of the human body. I'd hate to see my brother's cholesterol.
