Silliness. Custer didn't hate his Native American opponents and they didn't hate him, the "Son of the Morning Star." He opposed the relocation program that he was at the Little Bighorn to enforce in Congressional testimony and nearly lost his command for it. He wasn't out there to "destroy" anyone, but to force them to reservation land. And they were out there to meet to figure out what to do about the forced relocation policy.

He ran into several thousand of the finest light cavalry on the planet at the time under superbly skilled leaders such as Crazy Horse and White Bull, was outnumbered, outgunned, outmaneuvered, and outfought. Why not just let it be at that?
