Grandstanding against obvious and violent hate is easy too easy. The mainstream media and politicians make a living off violent hate. Campaign contributions are raised, donations given and newspapers sold through this grandstanding against hate.
On June 11, Democratic Congressman Ron Klein sponsored a resolution, unanimously passed by the House, condemning the sicko racist James von Brunn, 88, who gunned down a security guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in our nations capital.
Thats all well and good, and something all reasonable people agree with.
But its easy too easy.
Lets be truthful here. Passing a resolution that 99.9 percent of the country agrees with, isnt quite the same as facing off against the AK-47-wielding thugs of the Mad Mullahs in Iran with just a rock in your hand. Campaign contributions will be raised, donations given and newspapers sold.
A harder task for Klein, and all politicians, and one for which there will be no easy political reward, is publicizing and condemning the growing anti-Semitism within the Democratic Party.

Obama's two closest advisors are Jewish, Rahm Emmanuel, his Chief of Staff and David Axelrod, his chief advisor. Emmanuel served a year in Israel on a Jewish army base during the Gulf War. His father was born in Israel and a member of Irgun.
Nothing beyond that.
Axelrod is kind of like Chuck Schumer ~ he can spell "Jew" ~ but to practice Judaism is quite beyond his interest or ability.
Regarding Democrats and questions of "aid to Israel" I think it's enough to remind you that Obama is a Democrat and he recently tried to kick the government of Israel around.
My focus was on pure, raw, unadulterated anti-semitism. Ever hear the anti-semite who ran the church Obama said he attended for 20 years? He's pretty typical of today's modern Democrat.
Regarding why there are Jewish politicians who still adhere to the Democrat party 65 years after FDR died, I dunno ~ maybe you should ask them.
You are the one making this ridiculous accusation. You should ask them why the vast majority of Jewish politicians are Democrats and why the overwhelming majority of Jews vote Dem. They have been voting Dem prior to FDR. In fact, in 1920, 38% voted for the Socialist, Eugene Debs, and another 19% voted for the Dem John Cox, the only time the majority of the Jewish vote didn't go for a Dem. 72% voted for Al Smith in 1928.
There are plenty of things the Dems are, but anti-semitic is not one of them.
Open your eyes ~
You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.
The left is very anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist, and the Democrat party is a leftist party. It doesn’t matter how many Jews support it. American Jews (especially non-Orthodox) are like chickens voting for Col. Sanders. And the same goes for the Democrat party and Black interests, too.
If true, how does that translate into an impact on US foreign policy and our bilateral relations with Israel? Why is the US the biggest supporter of Israel in the world? Why is Israel the single largest recipient of US assitance each year? Israel has received over $100 billion in aid since its inception.
FYI: There are also extreme groups on the right that hate Israel and Jews. Whether right or left, these are fringe groups that have a negligible impact on our policy towards Israel. There is very little difference between the two parties on Israel. Each tries to portray itself as a stronger supporter than the other.
It doesnt matter how many Jews support it. American Jews (especially non-Orthodox) are like chickens voting for Col. Sanders. And the same goes for the Democrat party and Black interests, too.
It matters politically. Jews overwhelmingly support the Dems. And as far as I can see, there has been no deleterious impact on Israel. There is not a dime's worth of difference between the two parties on Israel. It is a non-issue.
Let's start with Senator Jim Webb ~ he ran anti-semitic campaign materials and he and the Washington Post actually used the fact that Senator Allen's mother was a Jew in WWII AGAINST him.
Every Democrat that caucuses with this putz is an anti-semite and that necessarily includes Chucky Schumer.
I assume you are referring to the cartoons depicting Harrison Miller, who ran against Webb in the primary and lost despite being endorsed by the WP.
The macaca kerfluffle is what revealed that Allen's mother was a North African Jew. If Webb was such an anti-semite, why did he receive the overwhelming support of Jewish voters?
You logic is flawed. If the Dem Party is so well-known as being anti-semitic, just imagine how much support they would receive from the Jewish community if that were not the case. Calling Schumer an anti-semite is the biggest howler of all. You're nuts.
Good question. I think you want me to say that Jews, in general, are stupid ~ but I think what I ought to say is that the typical Jewish voter in Virginia CAME FROM SOMEPLACE ELSE and simply don't realize that when you run into an anti-semite in Virginia, you've got the real thing, not those fictional people hypothesized to be lurking in "flyover country".
It's a very strange election when you get KKK (although pacified for a couple of decades) type voters voting with the Jews on behalf of someone like Jim Webb.
We'd all be much better off if ALL voters would do whatever was necessary to convince the KKK types to just stay home and out of politics.
I didn’t call Schumer an anti-semite. He’s a sociopathic opportunist. But Jewish? There’s no evidence that Schumer is a real Jew anyway. He doesn’t adhere to the traditional morality for one thing.
Maybe Webb’s anti-semitism stems from his Rep roots. Give me a break.
Theres no evidence that Schumer is a real Jew anyway. He doesnt adhere to the traditional morality for one thing.
Are you the one who decides who and who is not a "real Jew?"
Sure ~ and who are you to say otherwise?
You can understand.
Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.
Just crazy ol’ Jim Webb in most places. Only a matter of time until you see him draw down on someone on the Senate floor.
Is this some kind of trick question? Like when someone asks you what colour the sky is at night?
