I remember there was a punk band of pre-teens in the 80s, Old Skull (sons of musicians) who did a couple albums. One song, "Homeless", had one young'un screeching "I hate you Ronald Reagan!" at the end.
More recently in the Boston area there was and is the Mystery Tramps, who were 13-16 yrs old when they put out an EP produced by Greg Hawkes of the Cars..it helped that one of their dads knew Greg. The kids played an all ages gig at a bar and grille in Salem. All went well. Over the years "all ages" gigs have given young punk/rock fans a chance to see music (but not necessarily in bars...maybe a Legion Hall...).
Buy those kids a...root...beer!
Book them into a Chuck E Cheese...?
How bout McDonald’s Playland? They can play their new song “Ronald McDonald has issues”.
Holy crap! You’ve heard of Old Skull? Are you the other guy that bought their album?
I remember Old Skull too! Used to play ‘em on my radio show back in the day. Their LP was quite the squall. Somewhere in my video archives I have a feature done on them by ET or some such show - gotta go dig it out now. I remember the reporter seemed nonplussed by the “I hate Ronald Reagan” remark.
“Now I know why tigers eat their young!”
