Must have been a Cuban idiom, as my second Spanish teacher was a Cuban attorney who had fled Castro in 1959 and settled in Selma, Alabama. My first was a tough Puerto Rican guy who had clawed his way out of poverty in the South Bronx and became a teacher for the DOD schools in England. Then there was Lupe from South Zarzamora Street in San Antonio.

This past weekend, Donna Brazile wrote some opinion piece about how the GOP can pick itself up again. I'm sure that I'd appeared a gobemouche reading that torrent of patronizing claptrap. I just recall thinking that if Donna Brazile advising the GOP is akin to Herr Goebbels handing out free train tickets to Germany's hated minorities.

honest to God, i don’t know the slightest thing about baseball and for the life of me can’t tell the NY teams apart, i beg your indulgence! LOL! i figured i had screwed it up, but couldn’t get my mind around who is who and playing for which team! if i had a gun to my head i could’nt tell you who Arod plays for. i would have a 50% chance of being wrong!
