I won’t say he was the world’s greatest entertainer, but if you were to take the effort to review some of his work, you will certainly gain an intense appreciation for the immense talent that he possessed.
I suggest you begin with his two-disc set recorded on Labor Day 1964 “Sammy Davis, Jr. Live at the Sands”. A powerful presentation of his singing talents.
Of course, his widow, Altovese is absolute scum. She and the filth that she associates with will screw up any and all efforts to bring daylight to the legend of Sammy. They will litigate and sue until the end of time and they do not have the intelligence to bring the story to the screen.
Sammy’s daughter Tracy certainly does. But not with Altovese and her entourage sucking oxygen.
