Are you prosperous? (Living in the age of 0bama, but can do better)

Is it possible that you are prosperous and didn’t even know it? Do you know that you can think you have nothing and find that you have everything?

We have a small home with small rooms, and no quiet space of peace. Every room I enter there are children talking, or laughing and sometimes crying. When I wish to make a call, I must first say, “Shhh…can’t you see I am on the phone?” I am so rich, because I have a family and they are all around me.

We do not have extra money to buy our kids the newest designer clothes and the most expensive new toys. We do not go shopping or to the movies every week, because we need to pay the bills…So we sit in our modest living room and watch movies, with our microwave popcorn, and Kool-aid; we play games and eat dinner at the table; we talk to each other to inquire about one another’s day. I am so wealthy, because we have so much love for one another, that we use some now and save some for later.

We have older model cars and we have to pray each day that they will get us to our destinations. We are so blessed, because the praying allows us to talk to God all day, everyday.

We do not have money to purchase steak and potatoes everyday, nor do we have a large freezer with a stockpile of food for the next few weeks. We trust God for our daily bread, and are tremendously and abundantly blessed, because we have learned to be thankful for what we have, without taking anything for granted.

We are living a prosperous life, not because of money or a large house and new cars: not because we go to the best restaurants, and the fanciest affairs. We are living a prosperous life because we have love, family, health, joy, and perfect peace. This wealth cannot come from the world nor can the world take it away. This wealth comes from knowing God, and that He is our Creator, Sustainer, Healer, Provider, Protector, and Savior; He is our Guide, our Teacher, our Comforter, our Father and our Friend.

Prosperity is not what you have or who you know. It is Who you have, and knowing Whose you are. We have nothing, but everything!

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2 NKJV

“And He said to them, ‘Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” Luke 12:15 NKJV

Good article and good words. However, God helps those who helps themselves. I believe that God has led me to be prepared for whatever may happen. I can have compassion on who ever believes his word and keeps his covenant. To anyone else, I give them the same hope and change that they voted for.

“God helps those who help themselves.”

I believe this. My granddaughter, an R.N. working in a hospital in Wyoming, was just here for a week’s visit. She was amazed at our “storage unit” in our basement. We have plenty of food items, but at her suggestion, we went to Sam’s Club and stocked up on non-food items. Bleach, “Emergen-C”, vitamins, gauze, surgical tape, peroxide, every Band Aid imaginable, cloth diapers (many uses for those) paper procucts, etc. Then to Cabelas for hurricane candles, batteries, flashlights. We even bought big boxes of the large safety matches and spent about an hour dipping them in parrafin to preserve them from moisture. We may never need them, but they are here if we do.

We are fortunate enough to live in the country. We have our own well, three generators (and gas stored to fuel them) lots of deer, wild turkeys, etc. We even have a natural spring and a salt lick not too far from us.

My prayer is that we never have to rely on what we have stocked. My comfort is that we are ready as we can be if needed.

Yes, anyone in the U.S.A. is prosperous. Anyone who doesn’t think so only need to live in Nicaragua, Haiti, Afghanistan or some other similar place to see what true poverty really is.

Our affirmative action figure fraud-in-chief gives au a stark contrast, with his supposed brother George living on $12 a month in Kenya. Barry is quite the community organizer don’tchaknow. Doubtless he will now tackle George’s plight by appropriating U.S. tax dollars to raise Geroge’s standard of living. ... Or not, since George is only fictionally Barry’s brother.

I agree that I am blessed. I have a wonderful family, food, shelter... all my basic needs are met. Thank you Hashem.

But my husband and I are working for more. For years, we’ve sacrificed so that we may see a dream come true. We chose to live in a trailer on a beautiful slice of land where we hope to build our dream home. (and to pay cash for that home) We’re eating beans and rice and managing every penny for our dream.

I refuse to sit humbly and be thankful for my blessings when that which we’ve earned and sweat for is being ripped from us by a MAN. That man is a thief and we have the right to defend against thieves. We wouldn’t sit quietly while robbers cleaned out our homes, so why are we expected to sit peacefully while a group of robbers steal our dreams and our children’s future?

Yes, I thank G-d every day that we survive and that we don’t suffer, but my country is under attack. That is something that I choose to be upset about. Something I choose to fight against.

We are with you Marie. We are seeing the largest transfer of wealth in our nation’s history and this transfer is from the private sector to the federal government sector. Soon, the money we have saved will be worth 25 cents on the dollar and the govt will just print more.

God has blessed me abundantly and has led me to things I would never have imagined.

He takes us out of our comfort zones sometimes, but He's there to help us through that.
