Brothers Arrested On Charges Of Selling Drugs; Surveillance Tape Contradicts Police Claims; Investigation Leads To Arrest Of 2 Officers, $10 Million Lawsuit
NEW YORK (AP) ―
When undercover detectives busted Jose and Maximo Colon last year for selling cocaine at a seedy club in Queens, there was a glaring problem: The brothers hadn't done anything wrong.
But proclaiming innocence wasn't going to be good enough. The Dominican immigrants needed proof.
"I sat in the jail and thought ... how could I prove this? What could I do?" Jose, 24, recalled in Spanish during a recent interview.
As he glanced around a holding cell, the answer came to him: Security cameras. Since then, a vindicating video from the club's cameras has spared the brothers a possible prison term, resulted in two officers' arrest and become the basis for a multimillion-dollar lawsuit.

How bout if a cop is proved to manufacture evidence he should serve the term his victim was looking at...same of corrupted DA’s
A famous quote about police work is 99.9% boredom punctuated with .1% sheer terror!
its amazing the amount of ignorance that can be displayed in just one post.
Just remember that in this case the plainiff’s “Filthy lawyer” as you choose to call him...is white as snow compared to the Judges and district attourneys involved here.
When you have a plague infested sewage pit of corrupt lawyers, you have to bring another in from outside to disinfect,

No reason to end something that doesn't exist.
Amen. Pres--ent Ubama should contemplate the utter failure waging a legal battle against drugs has proven to be before he institutes a legal battle against terrorism.
Alas, obviously it's too late for that.
If so many cops weren’t scub bags, the tax payer wouldn’t have to pay for the constitutional violations committed by cops.
If cities and other governments wouldn’t defend these cop criminals, the tax payers wouldn’t be one the hook nearly as often. If the city fired these cops and prosecuted them at the outset, the city likely wouldn’t be liable; and for a lot less money if they were.
It may be the only way to fight the largest, best financed, best equipped, best supported street gang in America (the cops).
I’ll bet your son is a fine honest man who view his job as that of a servant to the public and not an overlord to them.
I have absolutely no problem with paying for the police to be sitting around bored, same with the Fire Department. In fact, that is exactly my preference. However, I just wish that the Police were as willing to sit around bored as the Firemen are.....
