They feel that Tina Fey was a success in generating a negative caricature of Sarah Palin. So they are going down this road again to rally the extreme left wing. Also they probably hope to increase ratings for the show, and to leverage this controversy with Fey's appearance.

People with common decency should not let up the pressure.
