Lupus generally isn’t an acute disease all that likely to cause death. My sister was diagnosed with Lupus over 20 years ago. She’s got plenty of health issues as a result but she’s getting treatment as the new issues arise.

Lennon, who lives in France, sent his old friend flowers and vouchers she could use to buy plants at a local gardening center, since working in her garden is one of the few activities she is still occasionally well enough to enjoy.

I wasn’t aware that song was based on a real person. Hopefully she will receive the best treatment, John Lennon’s imagination gave us all a lot of good memories.
