And how much of that 1.84 trillion dollar deficit can be attributed to TARP?

The problem is that both Bush and Obama moved to nationalize industry and spend our grandchildren’s money in that process.

And my guess is that McCain would have followed the same road as Bush and Obama and the most frustrating thing about this whole mess is that the only choices we have for government leadership are people that want to do nothing but spend trillions of dollars.

A better question would be where exactly is that TARP money? It was supposed to be used for the purchase of various bank's "toxic" assets. There was an article the other day that stated not one penny of TARP money had been spent to buy toxic assets. If the money hasn't been used to buy toxic assets, where is it?
