I’m not sure to be more shocked about the shooting of the little dog or the fact that Blue Ash police actually left their relentless interstate revenue enhancement to take this call…

5 lbs?

How much damage could a 5 pound dog do?

If you or I did this, we’d wind up in jail.

Apparently, the police have a different threshold for discharging their firearms.

Absolutely pathetic.

“That officer later explained to the family that he was following procedure.”

Utter bullsh**. A 5 pound dog on its own porch needs to be shot?

Another renegade with a badge ....

My gosh, look at the huge, vise-like jaws on that beast.

Why only three bullets? Why not empty the whole damn gun?

These two idiots should lose their jobs and never be allowed to carry a fire arm representing the public again.

Tazerd and shot the little dog?

I want to see the “procedure” that says shooting a dog on its own front porch, when the police have no reason to be there other than the dog is loose in its own yard, is acceptable.

How can it possibly be acceptable to gun down a 5 lb chihuahua on it’s own front porch???

“Following procedure”...?? Puhleeeeze

That said, I have a chihuahua mix and he is very protective. If I were a stranger on his front porch, I wouldn’t be stupid enough to reach down and try to get him. Besides, if he’s on his own porch, why would I try???

BS. Show everyone what the "procedure" is then.

His gun jammed. He was gonna break out the shotgun but couldn’t get it unlocked.

Can't - sovereign immunity. However, I would make sure I got the officer's name and maybe a picture and publish them far and wide - local paper and tv news, web sites, etc. I'd be sure I shamed him publicly - a police officer who couldn't handle a family pet without killing him.

>>The Bullocks admit they were at fault for leaving their dog outside, and are sorry the officer was bitten, but they say their dog was not a vicious animal and had never bitten anyone before.<<

Yes, they were at fault. I have a 10 pound Papillon that I would not leave outside. Bigger dogs, hawks or idiots can hurt them.

Apparently an idiot got this pup. It’s very, very sad and I hope that the officer gets sued in small claims for this. And suspended.

WHAT!? A five pound dog needed to be shot 3 F’N TIMES!!!!! This is a clear case of an officer who LOST CONTROL after being bitten. This goon should be fired.

These cops should be laughed off the force. And then put in jail.

They were at fault for leaving him (a 5 pound dog) on the front porch?

What are you smoking? Or more to the point, show me the statute which makes this illegal.

It's a sad story, and I feel for the family that lost their beloved pet.

But I'd guess the neighbors, even while expressing sympathy, are relieved they don't have to listen to “bark, bark, bark,” all day any more.

If I were in charge, those two dumbasses in uniform would never again be allowed to work in law enforcement ,or for that matter,be permitted to handle firearms.

Yet on the local Cincinnati TV station comment posts some people are 100% supporting the Blue Ash police.

I think the parents are making a big mistake in lying to the children .They should tell the little boys the truth:that their friend and playmate was killed by two big policemen who were scared Jack was going to hurt them.
