I don't really follow pro basketball too closely but close enough to know that Shaq is doing a great job of ruining any legacy he thinks he might have. It seems that the era of classy sports stars is quickly coming to an end. Shaq is definitely a schmuck.

I work in basketball; right now I am covering the national team trials of our first under-16 national team. The kids are great...so far. I hope that the coach covers sportsmanship today and includes this story in his talk.

Sports is a venue of performance, not cheap politics. It seems that Shaq is being coached by James Carville.

Shame on you, Shaq.

...Shaq is a fat blowhard...when he came into the NBA the league began to groom him to be Jordan’s replacement as the next mega-star....and he began to believe his own press clippings...he’s never been a graceful ball player because he doesn’t have the body for it.

“For the immortals, the lifetime benefits include the exhaustive examination of the next generation’s stars to your standards.”

Shaq should never, ever, be mentioned in the same sentence as Russell, Chamberlain and Alcindor (unless the sentence is something like mine.)
