2 weeks to to till the U,S. Open and the stars of the PGA and European Tour have made their way to my stomping grounds in the great state of Ohio for 1 of the signature events in golf. We celebrate the life and career of Jack Nicklaus, Buckeye born and bread and holder of 17 major titles. including 6 Masters titles. Ohio's love affair with the Golden Bear is one that will never end.
Set at beautiful Murfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, the stellar field, including Colonial champ Steve Stricker, Anthony Kim, Luke Donald, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, Geoff Ogilvy and Tiger Woods join to honor Jack the best way they can.
We continue to pray for the speedy recovery of Amy Mickelson and hope that all turns out for the best. We are happy to know that Phil will return to action next week in Memphis in order to prepare for the US Open.
An added element to this week's event. Scheduled in lieu of a pro-am, at 1:00PM tomorrow is a 2 team, 8 player Skins Game to be competed on the back 9 of the course. At 1:05 the team of Jim Furyk, Vijay Singh, Padraig Harrington and Camilo Villegas leads things off followed at 1:20 with the team of Kenny Perry, Stewart Cink, Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus. Coverage on the Golf Channel from 1-4PM.

Iz Tigger playing?
Odd that there are just a couple of scramble teams playing on Wednesday and not a normal Pro-Am. Does Jack always do this at his tournament?
prime sponsor Morgan Stanley controls the proam at the memorial.
it is very different than other tournaments.
according to wiki, jack has 18 majors, not 17.
yes, the god of golf is playing.
I wonder which way raises more money for charity... typical Pro-Am, or having a bunch of spectators come out to watch to 4-somes of pros playing a scramble?
Yes, Tiger is in
A pro-am would raise more money but Morgan Stanley is keeping a low profile due to the TARP funds issue.
