To: MAD-AS-HELL
As strange as things turned out after his death, I think Ted Williams was the quintessential American. At least, that's how I remember him.

In his book “The Teammates,” David Halberstam tells Ted that he was the man John Wayne was always portraying in all of his movies.

my comment wasn’t a reflection on what type of person he was. He was a great ball player, one of the best ever, that I know for sure. Just saying that keeping your head frozen is creepy.
