Awake and take the day, it is a gift from God!
First, breakfast!
(Hot cereal is on the side table)
And something to ponder,
The Promise
Of love I whisper soft in your ear
and with a gentled hand dispel tears
Hold you tight, and let the warmth bond so
and in the quiet of the night, let love grow
Sheltering you from all the wrath of life
and cradle you, away from all the strife
A sanctuary amid the storm's fury rage
into the waiting morning, a lifetime's age
