In Time Of Silver Rain

In time of silver rain The earth Puts forth new life again, Green grasses grow And flowers lift their heads, And over all the plain The wonder spreads Of life, Of life, Of Life! In time of silver rain The butterflies Lift silken wings To catch a rainbow cry, The trees put forth New leaves to sing In joy beneath the sky As down the roadway Passing boys and girls Go singing, too, In time of silver rain When Spring And life Are new. Well, L. J., I liked this one and also your 2597.....BUT I have studied your “Freedom” and I must not be cultured enough to understand that one. I have gone back and read and re-read when I heard the discussion and I’m afraid its way above me or maybe its just not my kind of poetry, prose or whatever it is.....LOL! Do you understand?

When I posted my little poem, I was on some page and saw an awful lot of poetry on hating America and I guess I was very surprised that there were so many. And maybe I shouldn’t be surprised at all.
