Honestly, I'm not a seafood or fish lover, so the calamari doesn't appeal to me either.
I'm a big fan of chicken-fried steak and make it often - with mashed potatoes and cream gravy, of course. (is there any other way to eat it?) :)
Of course I knew you were kidding - and I hope you know I was, too!
I can no longer eat shellfish - and used to love lobster and shrimp - calamari is the closest I can get, and I must say, I do enjoy it.
I had fun joking with you today - I thought your walrus (?) was brilliant!
P.S. I thought that poached squid was about the grossest thing I have ever seen. LOL!
