If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow;
but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.
~Mark Twain~
Cats are rather delicate creatures and they are subject to a good many ailments,
but I never heard of one who suffered from insomnia.
~Joseph Wood Krutch~
The cat could very well be man's best friend but would never stoop to admitting it.
~Doug Larson~
There is something about the presence of a cat... that seems to take the bite out of being alone.
~Louis J. Camuti~
I had been told that the training procedure with cats was difficult.
It's not. Mine had me trained in two days.
~Bill Dana~
If there is one spot of sun spilling onto the floor, a cat will find it and soak it up.
~J.A. McIntosh~
A dog, I have always said, is prose; a cat is a poem.

A MUST READ FOR CHRISTIANS Obama gave a big speech about how his faith is so "important" to him. In an attempt to convince the American people that he should be president, he said his favorite Bible verse is(John 16:3.) Of course the speech writers meant (John 3:16), but nobody in the Obama camp is familiar enough with scripture to catch the error, including Obama. Do you know what (John 16:3) really says? "And they will do these things because they have not known the Father nor Me." The Holy Spirit works in strange ways. Sure makes his continuous acts with the Muslim world interesting

Meg, I don't know if marjorine would work or not - some of them get quite watery. You might try a solid marjorine or Crisco.........but anyway, good luck! Here's the recipe!
PEACH COBBLER
Blend the following four items until well mixed:
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 T. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
Set aside.
Melt in 9x13 pan:
1 stick butter
Pour batter over melted butter.
Empty 1 large can Peaches with juice over batter. Open
second can, and add fruit without juice, to other peaches on batter.
Bake for one hour (350) until brown and crispy on top.

Well Darn It!!!
I forgot to ping you to Today’s Opening. #2505.
Today is going to be one of those days. I had this Opening ready except for a couple of BRs and a preview. Guess what, Internet Explorer shut down automatically for an important update. Talk about frustration!
Thanks, Jaycee for alerting me.
Wishing you all a wonderful Caturday!

Happy Caturday! Is there anyone near MEG who can intervene and stop her hyperactive cleaning spree? I think the heat is getting to her.

Oh, yum! Sounds delicious yorkie! I believe you could use margarine, Meg, but I wouldn't want to advise you wrong! I make my pineapple upside down cakes with margarine. I keep a a couple of sticks of real butter around, mostly for seasoning veggies, etc. I buy those small packages with only two sticks inside. (Land O Lakes).

LOL..I must use it..This mood may not strike again for a decade..and then I won’t be capable of doing what’s needed..I have three closets to attack..When I cleaned the kitchen cabinets fronts..I swore I would remove at least one thing from each cabinet...and I did that..but i’ve let my storage closets and even my closet get less convenient..so I am slowly going to make them better..I did start tossing my mother’s old Brittanicas..It’s taken over a decade to do it...I need the space.
I have taken more walks around this house..inside than you can imagine..trying to work out the soreness and keep moving. It does help...I hit pause watching TV and walk..I walk during commercials..Staying long in one position is a killer. Oh to be 60 again..

I buy butter when it’s on sale, and stick it in the freezer for future use. I have never used ‘tub’ marjorine for baking, but have used ‘stick’ marjorine.
JC, I think you and I make the exact recipe for our pineapple upside down cake!
