BBC offers apology to Muslim Council of Britain over guest's remarks

The BBC has offered £30,000 and an apology to the Muslim Council of Britain after airing accusations that it encouraged the killing of British troops. The corporation offered the settlement after a Question Time panellist accused the council of failing to condemn attacks on British soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Charles Moore, a former editor of The Daily Telegraph, made the comments on the programme in March during a debate about Islamic protests at a soldiers’ homecoming parade in Luton. He claimed that the council thought it was a “good thing, even an Islamic thing” to kill troops. The council, an umbrella organisation representing about 500 Islamic bodies in Britain, said that his claims were a “total lie” and threatened the BBC with legal action.

Screw the muslims. They don’t respect western civilization. They don’t respect the sanctity of human life. They trashed what was a once great cultural area. They are savage and barbaric. I hope they burn in the deepest parts of hell reserved for the likes of Hitler and Stalin.

The council, an umbrella organisation representing about 500 Islamic bodies in Britain, said that his claims were a “total lie” and threatened the BBC with legal action.

It pointed to a 2007 interview with its secretary-general, Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, published in a national newspaper, in which he categorically condemned attacks on British soldiers.

A group of 500 organizations and he comes up with one individual making one statement two years ago.

He may be able to make a winning case in Britain but it is not what I would call an overwhelming body of evidence that his organization it anti-violence or anti-jihad. .

“Sorry about saying you were encouraging others to kill British soldiers. Here’s £30,000 you can use to kill our soldiers directly.”

Once more the weak and the spineless cave in to the islamofacists without a fight.
Did the Council condemn the killing of British soldiers? That should be easy to prove or disporove. How about sometime, somewhere, someone, gets to the truth of the matter, before they kiss the islamofacists asses.......

Not sure why they would apologize after looking at the document that Daud Abdulla signed. Check out some of the stuff in Section 2 "Affirmation of the following legal judgments."
  1. The obligation of the Islamic Nation to open the crossings -- all crossings -- in and out of Palestine permanently, in order to allow access to all the needs of the Palestinians -- money, clothing, food, medicine, weapons and other essentials, so that they are able to live and perform the jihad in the way of Allah Almighty. The closure of the crossings or the prevention of the entry of weapons through them should be regarded as high treason in the Islamic Nation, and clear support for the Zionist enemy.

  2. The obligation of the Islamic Nation to regard everyone standing with the Zionist entity, whether countries, institutions or individuals, as providing a substantial contribution to the crimes and brutality of this entity; the position towards him is the same as towards this usurping entity.

  3. The obligation of the Islamic Nation to regard the sending of foreign warships into Muslim waters, claiming to control the borders and prevent the smuggling of arms to Gaza, as a declaration of war, a new occupation, sinful aggression, and a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Nation. This must be rejected and fought by all means and ways.

"fought by all means" is pretty clear.
