The most successful interrogation of an Al-Qaeda operative by U.S. officials required no sleep deprivation, no slapping or "walling" and no waterboarding. All it took to soften up Abu Jandal, who had been closer to Osama bin Laden than any other terrorist ever captured, was a handful of sugar-free cookies.

All it took was a handful of sugar-free cookies ... some interrogators' "sleight of hand" and a full year in a miserable third world jail without a Michelin star rating ...and he finally gave up some year-old very dated info to an interrogator named "Ali Soufan."
Of course if the only interrogation method we ever used was cookies the liberals would still claim it was a "harsh technique" and "torture" - we'd be told the cookies weren't gluten-free, or Dick Cheney put peanuts in them knowing terrorists could have food allergies.
