The Mac I'm typing this on has two fewer cables than the one on the left -- and all I have to do is give that one (MagSafe power) cable a sharp tug, and it it is cable free.

Of course, I'm using my MacBook Pro with the MultiTouch keypad, no external mouse or keyboard -- and WiFi (satellite) internet via my Time Capsule -- which is also backing up my machine as I type...
