Let’s patronize this PhD for the moment and accept his theory. What will it do to the increased “carbon footprint” resulting from having to manufacture thousands of additional gallons of paint anually? Horizontal surfaces take a greater beating from UV rays. Instead of painting every 4-5 years as we do siding, we’ll have to paint every 2-3 years. What will the chalked pigment do to the runoff? I believe titanium is used as white pigment. What’s the downside? Practically speaking, what is the area of all roofs as compared to total landmass? PhD = piled higher and deeper. sd
