Obama hits Hollywood on fundraising trip
U.S. president to tap movie, music executives at Beverly Hills hotel
LOS ANGELES - President Barack Obama looked not for votes in California on Wednesday but for millions of dollars to aid Democratic campaigns, including at a fundraiser hosted by such Hollywood names as Steven Spielberg.
Like Bill Clinton and other top Democrats before him, Obama visits the Golden State now and then to tap wealthy, liberal-leaning activists, especially in Silicon Valley and Hollywood.
Wednesday night's two-tiered event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel offered tickets ranging from $1,000 to $15,200. The lower prices bought access to a ballroom where Obama was scheduled to speak in the evening. The higher prices bought a place at a dinner for about 250 people, plus the president.

So, how much did it cost the taxpayers for Obama to hobnob and raise money.
I’m glad he’s traveling since there’s nothing needing his attention in DC right now.
I imagine Obama will do very well among corporations for fear of retaliation.
This is something that must be fixed. It’s simply impossible to win an election when you’re outspent by 300+ million dollars.
If we can’t close that gap substantially we have no shot no matter what happens.
Being even at least gives us a chance.
Just for comparison, Bush outspent Kerry by 40M in 2004, and we got out spent by 300+M in 2008, a 350M swing.
That massive spending advantage along with the economy collapsing was why Obama won. And that massive spending advantage will be why he wins again unless its mitigated.
The problem I have with this is, these same morons paying big bucks to eat with Osama are the same morons who are whining about having to pay taxes.
When’s Obama going to comment about the Proposition 8 court case? Officially he’s on record opposing same-sex marriage, but he promised gays he would repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and repeal the Federal Defense of Marriage Act.
One of the biggest social issues of our time, and a liberal president has had nothing to say about court cases and a few states which have passed gay marriage legislation so far this year. interesting.
And there was a guy dismissed from the armed forces recently who came out as gay on TV. That was Obama’s cue to talk about Don’t Ask Don’t Tell but he didn’t take that cue.
Could it be that Obama isn’t as liberal as we thought?????

There wasn’t even an interest in prosecuting for millions of illegal contributions from foreign nations including Hamas front groups.
What’s really telling is that 100 days in, he’s already building a warchest for his re-election. Maybe he thinks people won’t be so generous with money in 2012.
Biden was in Houston fundraising among lawyers in River Oaks at the same time that child was dying of Swine Flu in Houston.
These people eat high on the hog while fires are burning around the world.
They serve for power, not the people.
Obama is not a liberal, he is a Marxist.
