I think you are just kidding.
My wife and I both work, we even met at work, 28 years ago.
But when we got married she thought she would manage her paycheck and MINE. WRONG.
I have my bills and she has hers. I do not control her money any more than she controls mine.
OTOH, if she had insisted on controlling both paychecks, it would have been a VERY SHORT marriage.
This is a real good way to work things. We never combined our finances.
Becuase I manage better than he does, we have only been able to file joint the past two years.
