I agree that though Rush has 20 million listeners, the vast majority of voters never listen and know what he says through the lens of the liberal media. Lots of people have influence without running for office and let’s be honest, Rush couldn’t get elected dog catcher after what the lib media has done to him.

Conservatism is best represented by Rush, the problem is not that people aren’t hearing him, the problem is that the people who could do something aren’t listening.

There are a lot of conservatives in Minnesota. It’s hard to overcome the inner-city totals though.

That's also true here in Connecticut and probably a lot of other "Blue" States.

“Rush is more valuable on the air, getting this stuff out there then as a minimally influential politician”

Obama’s Supreme Court nominee could be fillibustered by one singel Senator with guts. Rush could be that Senator but he has said that he would never take the pay cut. I take him at his word- he’s in it for the bucks.

You shutter your windows?

I think the word you were looking for was shudder.

I think it was stolen. ACORN has had a big presence in Mpls. for years. Many military votes weren’t counted either.

May I?
Stolen, without a doubt.
14(?) precincts with more votes than voters.
ACORN. Enough said.
No Voter ID law. The dems keep opposing it (I wonder why?!), so we have college students from Wisconsin coming to vote in the cities.
“Found” ballots, different recount standards, etc., etc.
And with all that, Franken only got 40% of the vote.
If we had a Voter ID law, he would have had his a$$ handed to him...

Another blogger using Rush for traffic and hits.

First off, I have no blog.

Why do you assume a person who is adept at being a pundit is adept at being a politician??

I was referring to the writer of the piece, darlin’ - not you. I’m really sorry if you took it some other way.

p.s., well, since I’m originally from Carolina - will my “heel” do?

They are usually pronounced nearly identically as the “t” in shutter and the “d” in shudder are both rather softly enunciated.

I was referring to the blogger who wrote this.

I agree, Rush is more valuable on the radio.

If men like Rush Limbaugh really care about the country, prove it. Do what needs to be done to change it. Take the pay cut and endure the media “anal exam” and put yourself in a position to really accomplish something.

blah blah and then you get to that?? Thats his lack of "guts"?

Rush should never quit his job and run for office, that would be a triple disaster. Now if Rush were to organize his listeners into an organization that could raise funds, buy TV stations, go door to door, hold local and regional rallies... that would certainly be helpful.

But to say this somehow has something to do with "guts" is ludicrous.

The Obama State Media would be uniformly opposed to him, they would run the most biased articles imaginable. There is no way Rush would be able to win an election, he'd even have to give up the most successful radio talk show ever, which would probably never recover after he loses.

No, Rush is a radio guy, let him be a radio guy.

Or he could seek to set up an organization that could take over the GOP, like Soros has done with his wealth, Rush could do with his listeners.

Al Franken didn't need guts, liberalism doesn't require guts.

Thanks. I didn’t want to “steal your thunder.” ;o)
I also neglected to mention the absentee/ military vote fiasco, but notice you have, so I think that about sums it up(?)

Good points, and I found that sentence particularly lame also.
...and put yourself in a position to really accomplish something.
Riiight, look at how much the politicians have "accomplished" for us...
