Never leave anything around that could hang a child.

Belts over chairs.

Cords from blinds. Aprons hanging from a fridge.

It is difficult to be as vigilante as you need to be, but you have to be.

My prayers go out to the little girl for a full recovery and to her family for peace.

I don’t even have kids and I’m in the habit of tying the cord for the blinds up ot of reach. Pot handles on the stove to the side etc.

It’s not just rope-type items either. Be careful of rungs of chairs, ornate table legs, iron bedsteads, lawn furniture, and general furniture placement. I had to break apart a quilt rack because of a little one’s head was caught.
