For some folks the best defense of church based sexual sin is the offense of attacking another church’s sexual sin. We have big sin going on in all the churches right now and it does not make everyone in that institution a participant. But some people do not understand this.
The faith and truth in Jesus of some folks - in all churches - is threatened by the sin of people and leaders in their own church. In that case, better to ridicule the imperfections of members and leaders in another church rather than lose one’s shakey faith in admitting to and dealing with one’s own imperfect human institution.
In the endtimes one’s faith and bond to truth in Jesus will have to be strong enough to stand alone as church institutions fall to the total leadership and dominance of evil. Jesus will prevail and so will many Christians/ Catholics in His eyes.
You’re absolutely right. In the end times no one will be able to depend on a church, only their faith and hope in Jesus Christ and serving Him until the end. Let us all be faithful until the very end.
