They had a decent first album, then got overproduced and bubble-gummy. But Susanna Hoffs is as hot as a chicken pot pie.

I kinda have a weakness for pretty women who play an instrument.
And yet I married a woman who is completely tone-deaf...

Wow, I can rest easy knowing that Susanna Hoffs is back with the Bangles.

She could be a serial axe murderer and still be not guilty.

She always had the most beautiful eyes, and the rest of her wasn’t bad either, especially in “The Allnighter.”

I remember there was a story about “Eternal Flame”, that she went in about 3 am and recorded it stark naked in a cool room so the sound of her shivering and vulnerability would be captured in the music. I doubt it happened, but it was an imaginative marketing story.

Sexiest rock chick of the 80s AND 90s. Had a sister who was a professor at UCB, I believe, who was also a knockout.

The first ‘45 single (under the name of The Bangs) was good, especially “Call On Me.” Their EP was good raw garage stuff, too, and they were even rawer live back then. I think their first full-length album was still their best effort, but second-best in my opinion is surprisingly their newest, “Doll Revolution,” which came out just a few years ago. It’s got some great tunes, and Michael Steele was still in the band. Good stuff if you like the Bangles’ sound.
Susanna’s ‘60s cover album with Matthew Sweet wasn’t too bad either, but none of the covers are as good as the originals. Still, her take on Fairport Convention’s “Who Knows Where the Time Goes” was pretty nice. Not as good as Sandy Denny, but still pretty nice.
