Not only that, we are killing people too. Blowing them right out of their socks with Hellfire missiles.
Not only that, we've got marines kicking in doors and killing them where they stand. And if they throw down their weapons fast enough, sometimes we take them prisoner, and sweat them for information, and then throw them into prison.
And Obama is commander in chief. He's in charge now. Its a war.
If you're doing those things to American citizens, then I have a problem. If its a war and you're killing the enemy, and capturing them and sweating them for information, then no, I don't have a problem. Its a war.
Now, if you're actually worried about torture, there is plenty of it out there to worry about. Every American who gets captured, every American who surrenders, is routinely tortured to death, and his burned or dismembered body left on the side of the road. There aren't any Americans in captivity because all of them get tortured to death. There is no AQ equivalent to Guantanamo because their captives don't live longer than the few hours it takes to get them in front of a video camera. So if you're against torture, you ought to be. And the right answer is to find those people and dispatch them from this life as quickly and efficiently as possible.
"Enhanced interrogation" is just interrogation. They are calibrating the finger pressure used when you squeeze the guys face and make him look at you. The worst we do to him leaves him no worse for wear when its time for dinner. Torture is a very real thing, and its what happens when the terrorists get ahold of an American. I'm sure you can surf the net and find the film, they aren't shy about it.
