I always found that story very odd. Peterson was a LEO. It seems he would be smart enough to know the biggest mistake is to involve anyone else. Why would he need a barrel? He’s a big guy, he could have carried her out to his car in a sheet, blanket, whatever. I guess it’s possible he didn’t want a repeat of a body floating ashore like in the Scott Peterson case, but still, it just doesn’t really add up.
Neither does the death of his first wife. If he murdered her and wanted it to look like a drowning, surely he isn’t stupid enough to put her in an empty bathtub. Bathtubs can drain themselves over a period of hours or even less is there is a gap in the plug at the bottom of the tub. I think it did have water in it and it drained out.
