Well, if the body has been sealed in that barrel for most of the last two years, it wouldn’t be in good shape, but it would be mostly intact. The barrel was found about a mile downstream...I *think* that was what they said.

Didn’t see the part about the body *in* the barrel, the snippet above says “near”—either way, I hope for her family’s sake it IS her, and that he left all kinds of evidence condemning himself there so they can lock him up forever!

Oh, so it seems like something disturbed the barrel and caused the body to be released?

Fish food! There won’t be much left if that’s the case—but forensics nowadays are so awesome about finding minutiae that we’d overlook and come up with enough to sentence a killer to life or capital punishment!
