A lot of people on this forum complain about the Federal Government and want the States to reassert their rights.

I want the States to reassert their rights too but:

There are too many State and Local governments whose oppression would be just as bad or worse than the Federal Government’s if they weren’t reined in.

The Federal Government is not the only problem.

Reasserting State’s rights won’t cure that.

Secession won’t cure that.

Thanks for the link. I'll look forward to hearing how the MHD crew makes out in their search for freedom. Police behavior is truly a fascinating look at a microcosm of human individual and group behavior. One of the local cops I saw setting up the roadblock is a friend and fellow little league coach. It was interesting to note the transformation of his personality that the police uniform and proximity of his fellow officers brings about: No longer friendly. All business. Definitely a bit of a personal power trip.
