(Vanity) Computer help needed
Posted on 05/16/2009 11:39:43 AM PDT by Tanniker Smith
I usually offer PC help, not ask, but... I having a problem reinstalling MS Office 2003. It's looking for MT561403.CAB, which doesn't appear to be on the install disk. I've seen copies online, but I have no idea how trustworthy any of those are. I haven't seen a solution.

Familiarity doesn’t make Office 2003 better. Office 2007 is just an all-around better product.

"On my computer it was missing "MT561403.CAB" I was able to download this from http://www.knights-templar.com/FRONTPAGE2003/MT561403.CAB
then installed it into D:\MSO Cache\All Users
It worked!!!"

I had nearly the same situation and talked to someone on Technet and told them I had another cd and could find the file but windows remembered it had come off another disk. I asked if I could use the other Office Disk. They said yes and told me a way to put it in another location or disk and name the directory I made the name that my office wanted.
They said it should work... but I never tried it because it looked like too many steps. So I just wiped out the version on my Hard disk and put a new copy of office on to replace it. So good luck and mail me back and let me know how you solved the problem. Thanks!
