I appear to have run out of steam at 76 and don't accomplish much in the garden these days and my wife of 52 years has some joint problems and may have re injured a hernia. We did get the corn transplanted into the garden today and I started filling planters for her annuals on the deck. There are around 50 of them in different sizes and some are quite heavy even when filled with light weight Black Gold mix.
We have cut way back on veggies as our appetites wane and some things are too difficult to grow here on in the fog belt around Humboldt Bay as highlighted by this Article
I'm sure this must sound weird to you in areas with normal sunshine but the trade off is we rarely get snow or freezing temps...
