It's kind of like Myspace. You create a login and profile. You can post comments and photos and add friends that have Facebook accounts. It will then link you to their page and allow you to comment on their “wall”. You don't have to put a photos, but most do. I made accounts years ago so I could get in and see what the kids were up to. I did not ask to be friends, just lurked a little. My son was looking over my shoulder one day and freaked out when he saw that I had shortcuts to the sites.

I signed onto to Facebook just because I know it freaked out my nieces and nephews. Haha.
Since then, I’ve been able to keep in touch with a lot of people from my past. It’s been nice.
I also frequently lurk. Much to the dismay of the aforementioned youth.
