I think you bring up a darn good point. FreeRepublic (aka Jim) needs to decide what kind of mission it wants to fulfill. If it wants to be merely a place for conservatives to come and engage in useless debate, then by all means, we should allow the disruptive trolls to stay and frustrate Freepers. However, if FreeRepublic wants to be a force for promoting conservative ideals through activism, organization, coordination, etc. then anyone who is the slightest hint of troll should be booted asap.
If I thought that reasoned debate could bring the Left to the Light, I would welcome them, but we all know that will never happen. The Left is hell bent on destroying this country and they don't care what the truth is. Debating with them is a waste of time. If we want this site to be effective, it should be limited to conservatives, and it should take on more of an organizational role. We get enough debate just among the various conservative factions to where allowing left-wingers to troll here is silly.
This is all just my humble opinion, of course. I don't run this site.

If you're getting frustrated either read something else or go outside for a while.
No one is being dragged to the computer and forced at gun point to debate anything here (though there are rumors some of them are paid to).
