FWIW, please swallow your pride and consider being a follower known by love. The overly legalistic do more harm to the kingdom than they know. Consider your actions and if they are not bringing glory to the Kingdom of Christ why you are doing them. I have a legitimate reason for why I engage wagglebee. If you ask yourself why you are nettling me and what you are trying to accomplish, I think you will find the answer to be something that doesn’t reflect well on you.
You do realise that Jesus said "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15) and that Scripture further says "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." (I John 5:2-3)?
If a professing Christian isn't seeking to live by biblical standards, then that person is not being loving. The reason I am "nettling" you is because I see the "standards = legalism" line far too often to let it slip by unchallenged anymore.
Love doesn't mean wimpy, squishy, never offend anyone behavior.
Jesus was love personified and He took a tough stand on a lot of issues, moral issues, at that.
It is NOT love to let people go on a self-destructive path to hell, giving them everything they want and not telling them what they don't want to hear, just to not hurt their feelings.
You need to read the Gospels more and find out what real love is all about.
Just like those who accuse Christians of not being Christlike in an effort to manipulate their behavior, accusing someone of not being loving when they tell the truth and stand up for the truth, is another manipulation technique and we're not buying it.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
